in the same vein of Last American Hero I remember a movie with I think Nick Nolte or Gary Busey Where they're on the run in the country. I can't remember much about it though. I think i was a mid 70's movie. at the very latest early 80's

I forgot who was in Two Lane Blacktop. Thought that was the movie you were talking about....my favorite 55 of all time. Same one that was in American Graffiti... Tas's screen name was in that movie. GL lic plate.

Thx1138 was the name of george lucas's first movie, a sci fi film with robert duvall. The movie features porcshe 917 kit cars, I think.George lucas used the plate thx 1138 in american graffiti as an inside joke, one of the storm troopers in star wars also says the number on his intercom.

Two lane black top featured warren oates and some guy named james taylor, he went on to play guitar or something.The co star was a beach boy but his name escapes me. It is the same 55 as american graffiti, a guy bought it years ago for peanuts and still owns it, unrestored.
