Hey everyone,
My name is Steve, I've been reading posts for a while and figured I'd finally make a one.

I bought a first gen Camaro off of the original owner last year that has been sitting in a garage since 1979, 102k original miles, 327, powerglide, ash gold (faded to green), gold interior, only thing really touched on it is a new radiator and cam put just before they parked it. Some cool options are a floor mounted clock and folding rear seat. Only for sure plans are a 509 which I already have. Ideally I would like to run a liberty ultimate t56 and DSE mini tub kit but we'll see where my funds take me since I recently graduated from college and also want to start saving for a house.

I've been into cars for a long time since my father is also a gearhead. My first car was a 71 Chevelle which I wish I never sold, but can't do anything about that now.

Welcome to the site. Nice Camaro, you don't find many that haven't been molested. Keep us updated.

Dude, please don't alter that gem - it's perfect AS - IS. I know it sounds lame, but dicking with that untouched beauty wouldn't be as cool (or worth it)... I'm all about cuttin' and choppin' but that is REALLY untouched, and it's a one way street: it's only original once.

Yeah I thought about doing just enough where I wouldnt be cutting anything up and could bolt all the original stuff back on. I dig the rat rod look (as in the wheel 2 wheel powertrain Nova) but am not sure how long the lower quarters will hold up, both sides could use replacing. I was tempted to throw it in the autorama looking exactly like this to see what kind of reaction it would bring.
