Anyone with a first gen F-body using a Covan center panel??? What did you do for your stereo setup?? Were you able to mount an aftermarket head unit in the covan panel or did you hide it in the glove box and use a remote??
I should probably state this is a 67 so 67-68 is primarily what I'm looking for.

My instrument panel came without any opening for the radio so I just placed masking tape over the area, laid out my opening template for my Alpine and then cut it out with a dremmel tool. Everything fit just fine. Another hint if you aren't using the factory location for the heat / air controls -- use the blank that was cut out for the head unit and use it to cover the opening for the heat/air controls. If you are careful in cutting and size is similar - this is an easy way to neatly cover that opening.

Sorry - don't have a direct shot of the stereo and car is in the shop getting interior right now so I can't get you a pic for a couple of weeks. Here is a shot from the other side and you can barely see the stereo mounting frame.
