It is always a good idea to look specifically at the parts and not just the box. In today's automotive parts world many parts are "reboxed" and may or may not be made by the manfucturer shown on the box.

This is particularly a problem with local or smaller chain auto parts stores. When they change the store brand network from say Carquest to Autovalue, their suppliers of different parts may also change. Instead of sending in a complete new line of suspension parts, the "new" vendor will send in empty boxes and rebox all the existing inventory with their branded box instead of buying the old store inventory and replacing the inventory with their new product. Dana is famous for this stunt!

This does not just happen at changeouts either. I make it a practice to look at the part manufacturer stamped on the part to see who really made the part. In reality there are very few suspension component manufacturers. So just because the box says one brand does not mean that's who made the part.

This happens with LOT'S of auto parts, not just suspension!

They arent too bad. But nothing beats good old MOOG.Well, not nothing. Actually Howe precision ball joints are far better than Moog and the Dana/premium Napa line are also better than Moog components but Moog will work.

I used them for years and actually have a few parts in my cars right now. M-N is a lesser known but still well made part and are usually the ones that get tapped to fill otherbrands shortages. I have actually never had any of the American brand parts (the companies in USA) like M-N ,Elgin,Dana Parts craft(NAPA), TRW/Sealed Power/Federal Mogul, give me any problems if used/installed properly(ie dont super modifiy them, I have turned down Bbody ball joints for Abody use from all of these and never had difficulties. A quality name brand part stiill has to meet certain specs or they would be out of buisness and quick.
Good Luck
