Hi I would like to put some DSE 2" lowering springs on rear of my car I want a good handling car but will try it at the track. Will the springs work for quarter mile racing or should I use other springs? I know no spring will work for both equaly, it will be mostly street driven wit trip to track 3-4 time a year. Any help would be appreciated Wayne

you wont get much weight transfer at the track so you have to decide if handling or going straight is your main goal. they will work fine on the drag strip but if you want a strip only car go with a lighter spring, lighter shocks and dont plan on turning corners very fast.

They work for me on the street and at the drag strip(with out traction bars) great.

I always thought you want loose springs and shocks on the front to allow for front end lift and transfer the weight, and stiff rear setup to allow the rearend to be planted. Not correct? Anyone tried changing just the rear springs and recording 60ft times?

I misread your post and thought you were talking about front springs, my bad.

Generally speaking, typical pro-touring tires are more of a limitation than the leaf springs.
