Is there a way to identify if the fenders that I have on my 68 Camaro are original or cheap replacements?

By fitment and I was told if the little area that holds the rubber bumper on the side of the fender has a slot there along with a hole, there original, i guess the repos don't have the slot for it to slide back,

Original tend to have captured square nuts while repros have the nuts tack welded to the backside.
