This is ridiculous! I have been trying to win some of these for months. Somebody please make some aftermarket short steering arms for 1st Gens.

ATS, you make 'em for the A bodies, make 'em for the F bodies PLEASE!

Anyone out there know of a source? Thanks. -eric

Eric, I know what you mean. I lucked out a couple of months ago and found a set for only $125 (buy it now) :screwy: on there. I ended up calling most of the national used parts houses and noone had any. It is amazing the price between the short ones and the others (Long, med). Maybe someone on this board might have an extra set.

What are there, 3 different ones?

I don't know what ones are on my 67 w/MS, but I have a set of 3902517/8 off a 67 w/PS in my garage right now. What are these?

I think there may be 4 if you count Pontiac. I will check and see what I have.

Check out David Pozzi's suspension website: http://www.pozziracing.com/camaro_steering.htm#Steering_linkage Scroll about 2/3 the way down and you willl see them and their part #'s. His suspension site www.pozziracing.com (http://www.pozziracing.com) is one of the best around for this sort of stuff. Good luck!

I think I have a pair on either my 69 bird project or off my Camaro. I still need to verify part numbers though.

I checked and they are not quick ratio arms. Sorry.

Hmm, the one I have sitting here right now came from a 67 P/S car, but his site says:
LONG 6" manual, - LH-3902517 RH-3902518 (67, early long measured at 6") LH-3917193 RH-3917194 slow ratio manual steering.
I had no reason to believe they were changed, but I guess something was changed. Maybe P/S was added later.

I had a set of 17" rims and the short 1s were the only 1 that fitted.

Thought you guys might be interested. Just ran across HOT ROD Sept 2002 with Kevin Kings(Year One) orange and white rag top 69 w/LS1.
Check page 25 and look at the nice billet? steering arms made by
Brewers Restoration and Performance. They switch it to front steer, but I wonder if they can be flipped?

If you contact Unisteer they may sell you a set as there rack and pinion setup comes with them. they do drop the tir rod end down a slight amount to help the bump steer with the rack. don't know what the effect would be with stock steering?

If you want to run a front wheel with more then 5.25" of bs, you need these. I know this is true with a 17", I never tried it with an 18" or larger.
