I have been looking at all of the available Subframes for First Gens and I was going to go Pro-Touring for my 69, but I think now I am just going to build a comfortable Turbo Drag Radial car.

Below is the subframe I am interested in using. Any body have any experience with Smith Racecraft?

What is a "Turbo Drag Radial car", its a new term to me? What is it that you like about the subframe?

Nice subframe, but I dont think you would want to use that on the street especially with those motor plates. Check out the Chassie Works subframe. I like the turbo drag radial idea. Im a supercharger guy myself but boost is boost.
Have fun!

What is the issue with running a motor plates on the street?

When I said a "Turbo Drag Radial" Car, I simply meant a car more intended for the straightline, that is run on Drag Radials...most likely a 325/50 Mickey Thompson. With a turbo, I should be able to run mid-to-low 9s with out much problem and still have some streetability. My current ride runs 10.27s at 136 with only a 150 shot through a 6-speed, and its next incarnation isn't going to be very streetable with a 264/[email protected] solid roller. I have decided to back up some and possibly do a turbo car instead of a large solid roller and a 300+ shot.

I have saw pictures of the new Chassis Works subframe and I like that it clears the standard LSX accessories...so I am interested to see how the pricing comes out...but with the C5 brakes I would have to run some 16-17" CCWs to clear brakes.
