The Blazer should make it, the Camaro I doubt unless business really takes off.

I really think i did good selling my coupe project and getting my Rolling one. I tip my hat off to you guy's. I really need to be able to enjoy it while i'm throwing all that cash at it.

Just having a big puzzle in my garage is not my cup of tea anymore...Unless i have a rolling project to take the heat to once in a while at the same time.

I'm going to be rollin the 'Vert this summer with the big brakes, slammed stance, wheels and a few improvements here and there (like black primer instead of turquoise for example!) and i'm looking for a decent, cheap (this is the hard part) and solid coupe to build next to it as a Full Tilt race car with a licence plate.

Well after 18+ months and a ridiculous amount of money later, it looks like LoPro67 is gonna be finished in the next month or so. They (the shop) are going to put it in an annual Mid-Atlantic indoor car show o/a Valentine's Day at the Showplace, Mechanicsville, VA for her unveiling.

Of course I will still be over here so I will miss it all, but I am use to pictures by now anyways:seizure: :crying: :banghead: . I should be home by the end of March to enjoy the spring and summer with her.

Is t his the year for your car to go on the road? Which one:hand:. Everytime I get close to finishing one, I start something else:hammer::banghead: Mostly because of you guys, and people like Frank and Lisa at GPSuperstore and all their wicked temptations:help:. But yeah, I plan on having the newest one hacked together at least by summer.

2007 is my goal to get mine back on the road....should be do-able.
Just spent a day in the garage again last week, so I made some progress again

My 69 Camaro is 2-3 years from completion. I have decided to take my time and build it like I plan instead of settling for less.
But after seeing all the fun alot of guys are having on the power tour and pigeon forge. I have pulled my 68 Camaro drag car out of retirement. I have already installed C5 brakes up front. Hothkis springs and sway bar, and urethane bushings.
I am going to put disc on the back and change the 4:56 gear and install a 5 speed instead of the powerglide. I think I can piece it together before June, it will be in suede though.

Trouble is when it take a long time like mine 9yrs you start to change things as trends change, I'm my 2nd paint job,2nd set of wheels gone from 17" to 18s now looking at 20s, 2nd interior change, the engine 95 LT1 was cutting edge now old hat , everyone's moving to LS models , where do you stop and say enoughs enough.:crying:

Hopefully this is it. The wife and I discussed it the other day. With the the new baby, new house and new responsibilities at work, I'm going ot have to find somebody to take over. I've got somebody local, but he mainly deals with 10.5" Outlaw cars, not street machines. So it's between him and Detroit Speed. DS may seem more expensive at first glance, but it's kind of like buying a one-off part vs 1 of 10,000. Detroit Speed has seen and done it all with '69's where as this would be the 1st one for my local guy. Lot's of expirementation and trial and error = time= money.

Well? It's raining outside and I can now say that the wipers work in my car now at the turn of a knob. The car that now has the most money spent on it has the best wipers , 7 spds of them. I sucked it up and decided the car was worth the 7 spds and bought a DSE universal wiper setup. It installed so easy it is amazing how easy:cheers: .
So if I can keep getting the same results with everything else I might get lucky this year. It's more about things going right than the money at this point finally. If I can get things to go 2 steps forward and one step back instead of one step forward and 2 steps back it will be a good year and get running.

It's amazing how I have had the ability to choose every part possible that gets back ordered forever ,get the wrong one ,or they say it will work and when I get it, it doesn't even come close to being what it is supposed to be. With the change in plans about a few items it should be a lot easier to finish I hope:screwy: .

I'll be posting some pics of the wiper install soon, it is so simple anyone should be able to do it easily.

Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR :usa:

Shorttrack,

thanks for the kind words! Some people think it is cool, others just do not understand....It takes a lot of dedication with a familiy, house and job (and the costs of building one overhere) but it is worth it for me.

You would probably be amazed by the amount of US classic cars out here, and the quality of the cars seems to get better every year! Just check out the movies on my page.

Sometimes my Camaro drives me crazy, but on the other hand it is the one thing that keeps me sane......when I am working on it or driving it I forget everything else.:twothumbs

I barely made it in 2006. Still a lot of work to do but the car is drivable :) Put 300 miles on it over the Holidays.

Well, it doesn't look like this year. Detroit Speed is 1 1/2 to 2 years out. I'll take care of some fabrication issues locally and with some luck maybe a spot will open up early. Turkey Rod Run 2009 here I come!:twothumbs

Depends on how much overtime I get. With any luck I can get it running and take a few spins in it, however it won't have an interior or any outside trim. We'll see.

Yes, will have it back from interior shop this month. Hopefully. :fingersx:
Then I will enjoy it for a while:woot:until it has to go back to the paint shop for some fixes...I'm afraid of how long this will take. Very afraid.

yes!, yes!, YES! i fully intend to throw it on a trailer with my screenname in vinyl on the back, and drag it on the leg of powertour that passes by my neck of the woods. just one leg, but it will be on the powertour. It will be in primer with the wheels, spoilers and scoop and in some state of progress. if i dont show it to somebody and get it out for some feedback i will get depressed and give up. figuring on late 08 early 09 before it will see the road under its own power. also a local mopar show inthe same state. they will have to let me cruise the truck and trailered duster otherwise i will slice my wrist with a spork and bleed out at the days prerun rally.

oh yea, 2 paint jobs later, 2 motors later, 2 suspensions later, and 2 tranny's later it will be on the road in the spring. Drove it in and out of the trailer to take to a friend shop so we could hook up the airride last week. The demon carb needs adjusted, but everything else seems good. Can't wait!
