Well... I finally took one of the large steps to go the inproved handeling route... just ordered new torsion bars for the Charger.... stock is .88"... I just ordered 1.16" diamiter bars along with front and rear sway bars... i recently rebuild the suspension with poly bushings everywhere.... already put on 4 wheel disc brakes.... I'll make this things pro-touring yet!

That's a big step in the right direction. Don't forget to step up the rear springs as well or you will end up with a car that pushes through a turn worse than stock. With that much front t-bar and a front sway bar, a rear spring around 160# with a rear sway bar or 200# without a sway bar will help balance it out. Also spring for some decent shocks, skip the KYB route that so many peope fall into.

A few other things that will help; box the lower control arms, reinforce the steering box and idler arm mounts, and install sub-frame conenctors.

To get some additional caster, go with adjustable strut rods and/or tubular control arms.

subframe connectors are already there... steering gear mount has gussets, as does motor mount locations, reinforced strut rod mounts, boxed lower control arms (will be going with tubular upper arms at a later date)... Idler arm mount has been reinforced as well....

adjustable strut rods will be added when I do the upper control arms.... just dropped some $$$ and need to recoupe a bit...

also I am adding torque boxes with the new torsion bars...

It would have been easier to purchase one of our complete systems. RIde quality is vastly improved with our custom shocks and spring rates. We have unique rates that optimize ride and handling. You'd really be surprised how good one of these cars can handle with the properly picked parts. Our system takes the quesswork out of the selection process, by packaging custom made parts that have been engineered to match each other properly. I'll tell you that you may be dissappointed in the combo you are beginning to chose.

Disappointment, much like being rich or beautiful, is in the eye of the beholder, and not everyone wants an engineered package. Sometimes the journey is more important than the results, and even if the results are not optimal, they are your own. For me, that means much more.

For some, it is a great deal. Look at crate motors. They are all the rage. But some of us still like to turn our own wrenches.
