size of Cig Lighter hole? replace w/ Gauge?

Does anybody know the size of the cig lighter hole in a 68 Camaro? I am away from my car and can't measure it for a couple days....

I was thinking of trying to mount one of the smaller 1 1/2" gauges there for maybe A/F ratio, or something...... The other spot could be where the Wipers switch is too, no wipers on the car anymore... Or is this not a good idea? Opinions welcome....

The opening for the lighter on my 67 is 7/8". But, the entire flat area around the hole is about 1 1/2". I have been thinking about mounting a mini shift light there myself.

I just found this site. Went to a local shop listed as a dealer for this product. Nice item. Perfect size. Might even fit in a gutted out cig lighter. Will have to check. May be worth a look for some.

Well I did a check on my cig lighter. The casing ID is a little bigger than 3/4". So this will fit. Will need to cut up your existing cig liter but it will work.
