LSx into 69 Camaro, stock front clip. Put GW tubulars, new coil springs, Baer Brakes, DSE steer box and would like to keep all of that. Thought I'd use ATS oil pan but found out that it is only 4.5 qts, that seems small, too small for a 427. What do you guys think, options? will the stock LS pan not work? Thanks

Call ATS. Tyler may have an alternative for you.

Called Tyler, he stated that with their pan and remote filter they come close to 5qts. He went on to say that the pan will not have any scavenger problems. Very nice guy and more than willing to help. Called him more than half a dozen times. I do like the idea of a remote filter for cooling reasons.

Good deal. Remember, good customer service is rare these days. Show your appreciation by giving him your business when your ready.

Milodon showed an LSX swap pan at SEMA that should be released here pretty soon. Looks like a nice piece if you aren't in a hurry might be worth looking into.

I have read that a stock LS1 GTO oil pan will work since it is a front sump. GM part number 12581209

Can anyone confirm this? I'd be very interested- and if I could use the pickup/tube also.

I read that on LS1.com or LS1Tech.com. That is what people are using in other swaps that have crossmember issues. I have been researching my swap, and I just found that about the GTO oil pan. You might wanna try posting your question on one of the sites I listed above.

This link shows the demensions of the GTO oil pan. I hope that helps
