Hell, yeah. That kid had been in alot of trouble before this incident and he needs to learn a valuble lesson. It's gotta start sometime.
But, how did he get so bad. You can't let your kids run and then out of nowhere start caring and decide to pull in the reigns.

I heard about that on the radio a couple days ago. She should learn how to punish her kids herself. Now we are all paying for it.

:screwy: What the heck is wrong with people nowadays? My dad had a simple solution for problems like that, it involved some one-on-one counseling and a leather belt! Not fun for us kids sometimes, but it worked!
The story is kind of funny in a sad sort of way...

Funny story, sad it had to be true. My kids should never need that. I maintain a firm rule about disobeying and breaking rules. It is called an interface between hand and butt. You can't start imposingor enforcing rules when they have never been enforced before. It needs to be constant from birth practically (not the spanking part, but an assertion of who is in charge)!

i think the more you punish kids and not let them go out with their friends and that, they rebel. do stuff with out asking, sneak out, drink ect. my parents have always let me go out for as long as a i wont as long as i check in and let them know where i am and that im ok. ive never been grounded or punished and every body has told my parents im such a great kid and they are lucky to have me blah blah blah.
seems like the more you punish the more the kids seem to rebel, IMO. i know some of you wont agree with me just how i see it.

Do that here, and the liberals will want you in jail.

By the time they are 12 corporal punishment does not work anymore. If she is 27 and the kid is 12, she was 15 when she had him. 63 y/o great grand mother? sounds like a long line of winners.

Here's a novel idea.......If he's a constant problem, don't buy him a Gameboy in the first place! Give him a 12 pack of tube socks instead!

"63-year-old great-grandmother"
Now there is one healthy family, lol. That would make each daughter, including the great-grandmother pregnant at about 15 years old. I would be shocked if they didn't live all under the same roof.
For some reason I don't think parenting would be their strong suit.
