Ok.. I have an idea (give me alittle bit of a break it's just an idea). How would it look if someone molded the spoiler to the trunk to get rid of the seam? anyone seen this? I've been playing around with the idea. I'm shaving the handles and trying to "streamline" the car and just wanted some input. Also if anyone else has any body ideas on how to make it look more streamlined.. post up. I'm wanting all the opinions possible cause ya'll have seen alot more than I have....
I've seen it done before on a 68 camaro. This was back in the 80's. I kinda liked it then, but now I don't care for it. I personaly would leave the spoiler as a bolt on piece.

I've seen it on a 2nd gen but not a first. It looked OK but I'm not crazy about the idea. I wonder if the filler would crack over time due to closing the trunk?

The problem is that most people don't do a good job at it.. if done RIGHT it can look good :)

It was done alot years ago and just about everyone I saw cracked over time. Probably because you are bonding fiberglas to steel.

That one is actually bolted on. I forget if they modified it for a tighter fit though.
