View Full Version : Interior Pics Needed - Four buckets

What started out as a small project may be turning into something more.... I bought a pair of leather racing reats for my 68 camaro. The plan was to have the rear seat (a modified rear seat from a Sunfire) recovered to match. Due to a bunch of weird circumstances, I now have four seats with very little additional cost to me. Now I'm considering a complete overhaul of my interior to use the extra buckets as rear seats.

I know this isn't the first time someone has thought of this, does anyone have any pics? Ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks
Robb

I don't have pics but have contemplated it for my Camaro and my buddy's 4 door 67 Chevelle. One trick is fabbing up a tab type setup for the rear of the brackets as it will be near impossible to access the rear outboard bolts. Next is fabbing up more than a sheet to lay on top of the open area between and behind the seats. Hopefully someone can post pics showing the layout of the seats and some clever ways of making the sperator panel.

I had these custom rear seat made for my 67 Camaro. They are 99 Camaro seat bottoms and hand made back support.

ProBell, how often do you carry passsengers in the rear seats, and are they childern or adults?
I'd like to extend the same questions to any other 1st,2nd ,3rd ,4th gen camaro (competition-semi competion camaros).
Just curious
As for me,1 time in 9 yrs,and never left anybody behind that want to go.

I just got the seats finished last year so I have not had many passengers. They fit adults as comfortably as the stock seat. I am 5'11 and I can ride in the back.
I made them fold down so my dog and baby can ride with us in the car. I am working on finishing the mounts for the baby seat and full 5 point harnesses now as well as a hole list of other things.
Thanks Randy
