I was told some time back, by the engineers at Gulstrand, to remove the rear sway bar on my FG Firebird because it causes more of an oversteer condition. Anybody got an opinion? I'm considering reinstalling it now because it's mostly just a street driven car and I think it will probably help more than hinder at more conventional street speeds.

Not knowing anything about your suspension set up, it's impossible to guess if you need a sway bar or not. I can say this; IF your suspension has too much rear roll stiffness and you're experiencing oversteer, THEN removing the rear sway bar will help. And IF the removing the rear sway bar helps with the oversteer, THEN there's no reason to have it, regardless of the intended use or speed of your car.
Lastly, if your not sure if you want more or less roll stiffness or if you have under or over steer then none of it maters. Go on enjoying your car.

I guess there is no definitive answer except test and try. Thanks.
