What have you all found to be the best fitting / comfort seat to put in a 69 camaro? I'm not really interested in the aftermarket stuff - more interested in late model buckets that I can recover and make new rails to mount them. I have been looking at the late model camaro seats and that is the way I'm currently leaning. I also like the WS6 seats out of the late model Trans Am's and Firebirds. Thanks in advance

Well the late model seats look great. It is what I have in my car and they are covered in houndstooth. If you are looking for a set of seats I have a set out of a 97 trans am. The seats themselves are in EXCELLENT condition. The covers are nice but a little worn. If you are looking to recover them they would be excellent for that since the frame and the foam are in perfect condition. I live north of Mass and am looking to get 125 for the seats. If you are interested let me know.
Thanks
Mark

Not sure if this is the look you are after, but they are super comfy and period correct... They are factory Recaro's out a E21 3 Series BMW. Mounted on Recaro sliders and Wedge Engineering brackets.

I have 01 TA WS6 seats in my 95 and love them, so much so that they are going into my 69 project. They have pneumatic thigh and lumbar support, and the driver is electric also. I have road raced with these the last two years and they provide nice support in the corners.

Unfortunately they do not have lumbar. They are still very comfortable. I really can't say I have taken a long trip in them, just a few car cruises here and there. The pro-touring mods really haven't started, but I am getting ready to a hydroboost install with some C5 Corvette front brakes. Once I complete all of that, I will be getting some more seat time in the Recaros and will have a better idea of how supportive and comfortable they are.

Factory Seabring vert seats? IMO you might as well put the factory buckets in. Zero support, slosh around side to side. Had a Seabring rental this August when I was in Maui, hated every second I was doing more than 20mph and even slightly turning. Felt like I was going to be flung into the door.
I like the older Recaro's so much that I'm definately selling my Corbeau TRS wide's...

I put a set of 01 Camaro seats in my 69. Had to do a little fab work on rear mounting tabs. They are power as well. They are alot more comfortable than the stock ones. I also had them covered to match rear houndstooth seat.

My prefference are the 73-77 Trans-Am deluxe "horse collar" seats. Nice thick side bolsters. Deep center section. Easy to find replacement seat covers. Nice and comfy seats IMO.
