Door Handles

When installing newer style/model flush mounted door handles on a 69 Camaro, how do you actuate the original door latches since the original handles are actuated with a push button and the new handles are acutated with rod?

Second, what is also done to use the door key lock in the flush door handle assembly when removing the old key lock in the door?

I welded an extension bracket onto the new latch assembly and used 10/32 rod ends left and right to adjust the length. It's takes a little time but it was well worth it!
