Hey guys,

First post. I don't have any true pro-touring cars but I am working on turning my 76 Nova SS into a pro-touring beast. I also have a 67 Camaro and an 80 Z28.

Since many of you guys have alot of money sunk into your cars and they are modified, who are you insuring them with? I have been looking into classic car insurance through places like Grundy, Haggerty, American collectors.....they are all very restrictive. I want to be able to drive my cars without all the restrictions these insurance companies have. Any recommendations?

Try Parish Heacock. They were the only ones who would insure my GTO and let me drive it on the street and race it. The others would only insure my car as a street car only(no racing) or strictly a race car(no street driving). It's not covered when it's going down the track though. Reasonable rates too. www.ParishHeacock.com

Thanks Bret,

I'll look into this place. Currently I am only driving my Nova. I have liability on it through Progressive. The 67 will be driveable by spring but it is in primer. Hopefully these places insure unfinished but driveable cars. Are you insuring your car under the Hobbyist Coverage plan with them?
