So I'm clicking through this old thread from the Automatic Transmission Forum and Chryssos is naming off all the stuff you need for a 4L60E implant into a first gen....

1) Transmission.....got that
2.) Flex Plate......got that
3.) Torque Converter....yep, knew about that.
4.) TPS Sensor adapter (if carbureted).........I'm not.
5.) Custom Crossmember....yeah, gotta get that.
6.) TCI T-Com Trans Controller & harness: $659.95..............uhhh....WHAT??!!!!!

I know when I got this LS1/4L60e pullout from Pick-A-Part that there was a wire and plug hooked into the trans that went to the engine harness....is this the trans harness that he's talking about? What about this controller? Where is that located? By the PCM? Why didn't I get this with my pullout? Hell they gave me everything else. Even the damn gas pedal. Help me out here guys, what the hell is going on here?

Controller is for non PCM cars. Since you are using the LS1 it should work from the computer.

You only need a separate controller if you want manumatic capability and advanced transmission tuning capability. Other than that, most of what you need can be accomplished with the factory ECU and software such as LS1edit.
