Looking to replace my steering column on a 68 firebird with a tilt steering. There doesn't appear to be a difference between Ididt , flaming river ,etc. Who manufactures the better product and what have you had success using.

I put in a flaming river tilt unit, I like it a lot. It was a little cheaper than anything else I could find and was good quality. Check ebay.

My vote goes for an Ididit retro fit series. It bolts in with the stock bracketry, so not alot of fab work. They also have the adapter connector. You will have to use a 69' or later steering wheel unless you buy an adapter. They only issue is they use a DD style end to go to your steering box. A positive note is one of the sites sponsors sales them and gives a discount (GP superstore). Call them they can hook you up. Thats were I got mine. I ended up saving a few dollars on it.
