I was fighting myself Saturday..... "Do I go to Willy Wonkas Whoopass Factory" or do I subject myself to the punishment of what would surely be Michigan walking all over my beloved Buckeyes........

Well I'm just barely glad that I stayed home to watch the Wolverines get it handed to them!! :woot:

I really would have loved to be there though, but a road trip is never a bad idea once winter finally settles in up here.

AWESOME PICS!!!!

I got it to work in Internet Exploder. Netscape was having nothing to do with the link. :)

Great pics!

"Willy Wonka's Whoopass Factory"

Rich - you must know that you have me "ROFL" (ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING" !!!)

I must say that the terminology you chose to use does about completely sum it up!

About half way through my tour, I thought to myself that I had better take some pics for all the guys that couldn't attend, as I don't get impressed all that often, and let me tell you: This place is TOTALLY wall to wall horsepower - no doubt! :hail:

Paul,

I was wondering if I was the only one who thought it was a funny line..... ya' know it can get so lonely over hear on the :seizure: "weird" :seizure: side of life sometimes and just when I thought I was on my own.... my buddy Paul saves the day.

Man I can't wait to get a chance to actually hang out with you for more than we did at Woodward. If everything goes as planned it will be a "Kodak Moment" :secret: .

BTW: are you going to the PRI show in Indy in two weeks?

Does anyone besides me get depressed when looking at cars of that quality? It's like you'll never get your car to that point and wonder what these people are doing for a living?

I often wonder about many cars and ask "How they get the green to do all of that", but there is something trully majical about a quality car built from swap meet/junkyard part out of a one or two car garage! I absolutely love to see a car with nicked paint and dead bugs on it at a show!! It REAL! .... hell I love primered cars as long as they have mechanical mods that make up for it.

I noticed that you are from Lexington and you own a 1st gen Camaro... have you bought stuff from the guys at Camaro Central?

I could see where one could suffer some depression from looking at the all of the awesome machinery, though you have to look at it a different way to keep this from happening - I know exactly what you are talking about, as it used to happen to me too (!) (still does sometimes)
What has changed to keep me from getting depressed? After thinking about it for years and years, a different perspective has come into play - how?

Look at it this way (?):

1) Thank God somebody can build this stuff in the first place, that the parts / technology are even mostly available to do these things, and that there are forums that would drool over your monster when finished
2) Be thankful (especially today being what it is), that WHEN you run into some loot, that you too could also build such a monster
3) Keep in mind that life generally isn't fair, and that you know that you are atleast doing the absolute best that you can, given the circumstances of your scenario for now. Given a break somewhere along the way would definitely help! Though carefull long term planning is usually the key
4) While it may require you to pay your house off first, put your kids through school, and develop gray hair, that your story is nowhere near being over yet, and that you too WILL someday build such a machine

I dont' know about you guys, but I'd much rather spend my very hard earned $$ on building a sweet machine myself vs the typical Mustang, C5 Vette (or whatever) purchase all day long! Even at 25k, a stellar machine can be built. So if you really get your act together, possibly pulling some bank financing to back you up, you too could build something wicked, with reasonable / realistic monthly payments. If you can't do it right now, know that the day will most likely come, especially with some carefull planning and hard work. Some of these vehicles pictured are exactly that - no doubt!

Right, wrong, or just plain stupid - this is my .02

Rich - :grouphug: Weird side of life? You've been watching too much TV again, haven't you? What did I tell you about that (!?) :hammer:
No plans on rollin down to PRI at the moment, though things do change at the drop of a hat sometimes, at which point I'd get in touch with you.

Rich,

The guys at Camaro Central are pretty good guys and they keep an unbelievable inventory considering that they are in Lexington. For the most part their competitive with Rick's or Classic Industries price wise and if not they'll usually get there if you tell them. I actually bought my Camaro from a town in Ohio, Canal Fulton, heard of it?
