Now this is my kind of guy! Another person that doesnt care for keeping low mile and/or rare cars original...although this board is full of them, not so much with 2nd gen's.

Got any more pics? Looks great!

these are the only decent ones I can find right now. She's an original 400 4spd, and she'll probably stay that way. I plan on keeping the interior 100% stock, and under hood will appear stock but the motor will get "warmed up", no sense in a bad a@@ suspension and brakes with no go:6gears:

Interesting. My 79 was a 400 4 speed and I had the same hood decal, but your decal set is different than mine. I had the little birds next to the door glass.

I like the black GTA wheels. I considered putting some on my car. Did you use a full set or only the back wheels for the offset?

7_ws6ta_9

I used the full set, needed a 1" spacer for the rear. would have liked to have 4 fronts but couldn't pass on the deal

Cool. So it's the fronts that don't need the spacer. I always get that wrong.

personally i really like the GTA wheels. i'm kinda partial though because i have a similar set of Rikens on my 69 Mustang GT. if i ever build a GM car i'd like to put a set of GTA wheels on it.

the other nice thing is that the are fairly light weight, I haven't weighed them but compared to other gm 16's they are def. lighter

yeah they are pretty light weight. my 15" Rikens are pretty light as well.

I ran the "backs" on the back of mine with a 255-50-16 BFG-R autocross tire and no problems with rubbing on my 78. Any wider needs a more zero offset like the "fronts". Ran "fronts" on the front. So much lighter than the cast IROC Z 16" wheels.

BTW, i'm pretty sure Riken was the original manufacturer of the GTA wheels as well.

can't run the backs on the back of a rear disk car, they hit the e-brake
