i am getting ready to layout for my cuts for the SFC's and have a few quick questions. on the floorpan template it shows a measurement of 7 13/16" to rear edge of subframe. is this talking about the front subframe, or the rear frame rails. im thinking the front subframe but want to verify.
my 2nd question is what are the pinch welds considered? is this where the rocker bends in a 90* and meets the floor? thanks for the help

sorry i don't have the instructions in front of me but the pinch welds are the rails under the car where the floor and rockers are spot welded together. If you look underneath it damn near spans the full length of the undercarrige.
The rear of subrame would be the front subframe. The 'rear frame rails" would not be called that.

One note, the DSE template is too wide! If you lay the SFC on the template it is narrower than the template lines. Just make sure you cut narrow enough. It is much easier to widen the cutout than add metal to make it fit. Other than that Vince is correct.

I second what Baz said. Start small, then widen to fit.

The pinch weld is the long black painted 90 degree bend that is on the left of this pic:

Here is the drivers SFC in the floor. The left side faces front.

This is pre-welding, but checking fitment.

do you weld on both the top and bottom of the floor pan to sfc seam?

We did on the car pictured. My welder would stitch weld it at different places all over to keep the heat down. We did the top first, and then the under car.
