We have been using the Tial 44's for a while (that actually flow better than the 46) but even with a pair of them it's been a bit of a flow restriction. Causing the boost to fluctuate on the top end and making it a bear to tune. Even with a 95% ideal WG location on the outside radius of a bend right before the turbo. Well lets just say with these monsters it's not going to be an issue any longer.

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT THING. 2 1/4" in/out ports with V-band clamps. Valve has 1" of travel, all stainless housing, and they claim it will last at least 1 million full cycles on a set of O-rings at over 40psi. I have no idea how many times a normal WG cycles, but I think that should be sufficient.

Needless to say with a pair of 60's I don't think we will have any problem keeping the boost down with the "big" turbos. What can I say, we thrive on absolutely retarded overkill.

We'll be trying the 50's on a car running a pair of 76gts turbos to see how well everything works on a somewhat normal setup, something fairly tame in the 1000-1300rwhp range. :smoke:

HMMM i currently use the Tial 44's with my pair of 70's & dont have any problem with boost creep at all. My wastegates even dump back into the downpipe.

What kind of position are your wastegates mounted in & how far away from the turbo inlet are they?

It's not a design issue at all. The path to the WG is short and very direct on the outside radius right before it goes into the turbine housing.

Here is a shot from a mockup piece but you get the idea. https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

510ci near 7k rpm motor making almost 1400rwhp on kill (maybe more, will know shortly) flows a ton of air.

Plus the big ones just look SOOOOOOOOOOO much cooler, and being able to clock the air ports is a niiiiiice feature.

Trying to get her done for early spring.....as soon as i can finish the diff, then i can build the control arms for the front to position the rim where i want it & start dropping in the old powertrain/fuel system & ignition from the other car.
