Here's a V8 "mid engined" car (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBWphl8oG9c)

Here's a modded vair engine car on the same track.(solo2r's) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYh2JJqMux4)

I opened both at the same time and "evened them up" right as they cross under the first bridge and hit play. The vair engined car walks all over the V8 car. Sure the argument can be made that a V8 could make more power, etc. But still. It's impressive none the less.

set it up like this:

You are comparing apples and oranges. Guy in v8 car stays in one gear most of the damn track, he finally downshifts towards the end...:drive1: <<<<thats him.

Plus the non-V8 car is a Yenko Stinger, which isn't your average factory Corvair.

Im not sure marks car is a stinger it may be, it was a yenko meet. It is definitely more modded than one. still. Advantage corvair 6.

oh and mark laid down the fastest time that day. Of ALL The cars there.

Just an assumption based on the title that shows up. I'd love to go there for an open track day. It's only a couple hours from me.

I stand corrected. Now I see where it states "1968 Corvair Monza Street Modified".
