im about to but one tomorow.. kinda having cold feet.. picking it up in the morning.
body is good condition with only some patch panels needed in the rear quarter and windshield area needs a new windshield dash and steering column.. has a 318 in it now but it was an original 340 cuda and it has original engine out of it. pans are solid and it runs.

im picking it up for 5500..

Almost sounds to good to be true. If it's in decent shape I say buy it. It would be a great project and don't sweat it to much it's only money. Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving. Larry

I would say go for it. The round tail lights on 72's and up are pretty cool and they make reproduction grilles wich seem to be astronomicly priced for 70-71 models because there are no repros for them. There is alot of cool suspension mods and other things out, more so than alot of the other Mopars.
What engine are you going to go with? Did you say it has the 340 with it and it's out of the car or it is out of the car and gone? Hughes engines has a 426" stroker kit that uses a 360 or 360 Magnum for a little over 2 grand. I would have gone that route with my 'cuda if I hadn't gone supercharged 408". The last Engine Masters featured a super low buck 415 hp 318 too.

what makes this one different than the 2nd Gen Camaro you looked at last month or so ago? No need to sell the Bonne this time?

SOunds like he passed on it.

I'd say that is a decent price. Unlike 70 and 71, the 72-74 Barracudas and Challengers are usually a screaming bargain. Unmodified originals regularly pop up on ebay in very good running condition for under $10k.
