Car jacking ends at my work

Yesterday I was in my office and could hear sirens. Didn't think much of it, hear them often except these were louder and lasted a long time. Left work and saw two cops driving fast and having a look on their faces as if they were kinda lost or looking for something yet not knowing what they were looking for. Anyway I don't watch much news, the office was in a buzz. This guy gets car jacked, shot and the chase ends at the back of our facilities.
