I got my car back and I have some overspray on my steel braided fuel lines coming from my sumped tank to my fuel pump. How can I clean the paint off without ruining the steel braided lines? I know brake cleaner will work but will it eat away the rubber lines?

Any other ideas?

Next what is the best way to clean the engine compartment from the dust from wet sanding, and also the rubbing compound after its been polished? I have some compound in the grooves on the cowl by the windshield, etc....

THX

We have a cleaner over here called panel wipe to do jobs like that, might be called something else over there, try paint suppliers.

I would say thinner on the braided hoses. And for the dust and compound First klean,By Dupont. Its a wax and grease remove you use to prep before paint.

A paint brush is great for detailing rough areas and rims
