I know this has been posted at times in the past, but I am most likely going to place an order for the kit this week and wanted any last minute input before I did. For what I am after, it looks like a good, reasonably economical kit.

I am after reduced weight any time I can get, especially if it is unsprung. This kit is a winner on both counts.

I need new springs as mine are too soft and have sagged. I have made custom poly spring spacers to get the ride height were I want it and to have to fit new coil springs and get the same ride height will be a pain. The VBP system easily takes care of this problem as well as letting me tinker with different ride heights if I want.
While I don't need tubular lower arms, I have looked at them from time to time.

The price for arms and springs if I stayed with coil springs is above the $600 for the VBP kit, but I would only get one spring rate, not the three that come with the VBP kit.

Some knock the system for poor ride quality and I have talked with VBP and I can get the spring to arm bushings in rubber as well as poly. I will get the kit with both so I can compare the differences. I also suspect the poly bushings may not rotate freely, some have said "stiction." I already plan to mount grease fittings on the bushings if they don't come with them. I also can make my own steel/nylon bushings for a smoother pivot if needed.

Good shocks are recommended and I already have edelbrocks, so hopefully I am okay here.

I know that weight transfer is poor with the kit but I don't drag race and am most interested in a good handling, stable street car.

Feel free to chime in and point out anything I may have missed before I place my order.

I don't like the way the spring hangs down under the subframe, - from photos I've seen.

You might save a little weight because those arms are thinner than most, but the stock arms are really pretty light, so you won't save a lot of weight. The leaf is lighter than a coil, stock second gen coils are very heavy and the Hotchkis coils are also very heavy. Good aftermarket racing coils are much lighter and are made of better steel which is thinner.

The VB system just doesn't light my fire, it's the leaf spring I don't like. But the A arms look nice, although pretty thin.
