That down hill turn that sweeps to the left then right and uphill? That's Eau Rouge and the F1 guys try to take it flat out. Even for the F1 boys its quite a test of fortitude to keep the loud pedal planted to the floor and not lift. By the end of the race you'll see a bunch of tan streaks through the turn where the suspension bottoms out and they scrape that wooden plank on the bottom of the car. Nice! :headbang:

There are quite a few (good) movies on his site with the Cuda being the star of the show.
He won a couple of races and generally is in the top 3.
Open event or not. The guy in the bimmer should have been black flagged!
Sick video.

Great car. I was thinking of putting Budnik Gassers on mine but those Mini-Lites look really mean. They used those on the original factory racecar AAR and T/A's too.

sweet, my buddy mopork emailed that to me about 5 months ago, and i use it for motivation, seeing as that is basically what my car needs to do. I watch it once a week at least but never got anything else. now i get to sexually harrass myself over pics of the car too. Thanks to whoever found that site. i will bookmark that and check it regularly. Dan

man that guy is hardcore. it is one thing for us to do that here in the states, we can get parts and replacements etc. belgium no way he is sick and then to pull it with a dodge ram van. the cost of gas over there alone would make the rest of us cry, i am in love with that car. i only hope to have videos that sweet of my car performing.

I am curious, can anyone read that website enought to tell what suspension they used, front and rear?

ERRRRGGGHHHH, I want to kill the 2002 driver, I know I would of kicked his AZZ in the pits! but a cool video no doubt,
I wonder if Speed plans on playing any old Trans Am races of the 60's/70's

It seems he's using a heavier (Mopar) torsion bar and an original swaybar up front. 7/8 sway bar and composite springs in the rear (not shown in the attached picture), supported by a Panhard bar. Polygraphite bushings, Koni's & Wilwood 6-pots all 'round.
Have a look at the article attached, same article also showed a Dart that was planning on doing the same competition series.

The Cuda guy isn't 100% in the right on some of those situations either.
Unless it somehow connects to NASCAR, Unique Whips (WTH?) or Celebrity Bobsledding (WTHx2?), don't count on seeing it on SPEED.

That was my thought as well. A 2002 is a much lighter car and trying to outbrake him going in to a turn where he has an advantage isn't the best way to do it. Shoulda let him have the turn entry by braking sooner, roll in it earlier, take a lower line and shoot underneath him on exit.
Looking at the posted page he has a basically stock mopar suspension. Odds are a 1.22 torsion bar, a 1.25 front sway bar, looks like steel multi leaf rear spings too. Has upgraded brakes to what looks like a Wilwood. Overall a very clean set up. In stock form, mopars have a pretty good suspension set up. It only takes minor mods to get them really working well.
