need help quick

well my dad has a 01 chevy 2500 and when you give it gas it doesnt go. just rolls at 15 mph. any help would be good we have to bring something to seattle by 12 and it takes 3 hours to get there ....

back fire? sputtering? smoke at all? do the rpm's increase? what is the rpm at 15mph? check engine lamp on? chocks out from infront of the trailer wheels?

it was sputtering, now its just dead. we are having it towed to the mechanic they think it might be the fuel pump.it was starting then youd give it gas then itd die. and there is some busted lines where the fuel pump is (its in the tank)

ok cool, you got it handled. i was going to suggest an air flow meter and gas tank tap test using a snap-on HBPT16 diagnostic tool.

let us know what they find.

turned out to be the fuel pump 700 to get it fixed

I wish I could rip people off like that..
I just aint got the mean in me for it

For Instance I am doing an 89 yota 4X4 turbo eng for 3 k w new head and I will r&r it and assemble the engine (book time is 27 hours Im charging 20)

haha the fuel pump is in the tank it self or my dad would of done it himself. you have to drop the gas tank and stuff or you can remove the bed haha

parts is expensive to boot....did they replace the whole module?

We just remove the bolts from one side loosen the rest and tilt the bed to gain clearance...not quite the drive way job but its possible.
