I got my used C&R radiator this week. Bought it on ebay. Does anyone have an adapter from female AN-24 to male AN-20? It said on ebay that the inlet was AN-20 but it was AN-24 when I got it home.
Anyway I took some pictures of the mockup. It fits perfectly! I think it looks bitchin' :)
here are some pics

Looks sweet. I think you've eliminated any potential cooling problems. :)

I know a guy that used to work at C&R Racing in Indianapolis. They make all kinds of fittings. If you can't find one that adapts from 24 to 20, see if they can make you one. I would start with Summit, I imagine someone makes it.

Sweet radiator!
Give these guys a call: http://www.godmanhiperformance.com
...They stock a ton of -AN stuff.

I hope you can afford the speeding tickets your gonna get..... because you are gonna have to brake the law to get enough air into thing so it can cool.

I seriously don't think I need to drive that fast for it to be effective. It is just a single pass radiator, and the fin count per sq-in is not that high. It might look dense on the photos but that is do to poor quality photos.
I didn't find any reducer in that size on godmans hi performance
I think that it would cost a small fortune to have C&R make me this adapter. I think it will be cheaper to let some shop weld on an AN-20 weld bung instead. but I hope to find some company that allready has the adapter in stock.

If you haven't already, you may want to give them a call. They stock stuff not on their website or they may be able to give you another source. They can be pretty helpful when dealing with unusual -AN fittings.

ok well since I live in Sweden it is not to practical to just give someone a call in the US. but if anyone here would be willing to give them a call, I would really appreciate it! or I'll just send them an email, but some companies that I have sent emails to won't return them.

I gave them a shout for you...no luck.
They recommended 2 options:
1. Have it re-welded with a smaller bung
2. Contact a hydraulics company, they would have them in steel
...Sorry man, I tried!

Yeah they did answer my email too.
Well I'll see if any hydraulic companies here in Sweden could get one for me. I don't really care if it is made of steel or aluminum. I hate the idea of having to cut it and weld a new bung in. it will not look as nice.
Thanks a lot for your help!

I got a fan from a friend about a year ago. Thought I would use it on my original radiator but never got around to it.
Now when I testfitted it to my new radiator I was VERY supprised! fits almost like a glove!
had to cut a little because the radiators outlet is angled and some of the shrouds clips.
who would have thought that a NASCAR radiator would mate soooo well to a fan and shroud from a Volvo S80?!!!
take a look:

If you are still looking for fittings, you may want to check out Roush's used race parts website:
http://www.roushracing.com/usedraceparts/default.htm
...some cool and high quality "race used" parts up there for CHEAP money. They are good about responding to inquiries. You may want to see if they have something that you can use (even though nothing is listed on their site).
Not sure what you paid for yours, but they do have a C&R radiator listed for $125!

Wow, that is cool!
Anyone know of similar sites for other large racing operations?

The guy I bought the radiator from said he found an adapter and would send it to me for free since it was his "screw up". I would not have bought it if I knew it was AN-24.
I'll be modifying the radiator support this week to make the radiator fit nice and tight.

Is this more a function of fin density or thickness of the core?
