LS1 PCM mounting location

Where do those of you doing an LS1 conversion mount the PCM in a 67-69 Camaro? Is the wire harness long enough to mount the PCM in the glove box or the interior side of the firewall without being lengthened? If it matters the harness is from a 02' LS1 w/ 6spd.

It's almost long enough to do it right- I like to add a bit of length in order to be able to pull it out (drop down inside). It also depends if you've got factory or VA A/C.

Mine is mounted just forward of my center console.. same place as in the Year One LS1 Camaro.. :)

We also ran the wires down through the trans tunnel rather than through the firewall (for a cleaner look)..
