I just broke the bottom input stud on my dc fan controller. Those little things are easy to break so be extremely careful when tightening. I was able to get the jumper wire on still since a little nub was left and used the second (Upper) input (FK-60). This should be ok right? Also do any of you guys know if there is a way to replace the stud? Thanks in advance for any help.

Paul

Thanks Baskin,

I thought about that but since I just used the top input I'd figure I would'nt mess with it. I just wanted to fix it back to the way it was before I broke it(I know it works now but it still bothers me)

I've changed them before, and you could probably even do it there, but it's a pain to do. If you're worried about performance, the 60s actually output more like 80A, so even with a small loss in current balance, it's probably overkill for just about any application. As far as aesthetics, the nickel plated brass standoffs look better than the factory terminals, so you could just cut them all off and replace them with the standoffs. The torque spec for the bottom lock nut BTW is 10 in lbs.
