Witch one is better?

I'm talking about the product comparison.

Not company comparison.

Never used a Flex-a-lite controller, but I love my DC Controls FK-35. Works GREAT!

You may also want to take a look at the Spal PWM controller.

I use the DC Controls unit as well. No problems, easy install and works great. I have the unit hidden inside my aluminum fan shroud.

The DC Controls unit is hands down better. Aaron, did you ever get your issues resolved? You can email me directly if you don't want to post here. I was just curious. -Jabin

No, I never got them resolved. I gave up and went with an adjustable relay setup from permacool. I didnt know Spal made something similar. Im not investing more money into fan controllers now.

Another user posted having very similar problems with the DC controller which made me hope I wasnt crazy. Im not happy that he was having problems, just that it wasnt just me or my abilities. The DC controller isnt that difficult to hook up. There was something wrong internally. I shouldnt be able to go out to my garage at 2am and see my fan running! Especially if the car hasnt ran in days. The thing always drained my battery.

At any rate...I guess Im just beating a dead horse even posting in these threads. Im just bummed I couldnt get one that worked because the idea is great.

I see nbecker mentioned the Dakota Digital Fan Controller ... I've been looking at the Dakota piece for some time now and dig it ...

I'm running the LS1 fan setup, which is a dual electric fan system ...

Any advantages/dissadvantages of the DC Controls unit vs. the Dakota Digital unit?

Thanks...

I can compare our Spal controller to DC Controls controller but I have no experience with the Dakota Digital one. I'm interested to see the comparisons myself. -Jabin
