lengthen C5 torque tube??

I've heard of shops shortening torque tubes, but what about lengthening? Is that even possible? What would that run?

I believe, if you check the re-runs of Dream Car Garage which airs on the speed Channel they put an LSx motor into I believe a Prowler.

The LSx was mated to a Porsche trans axle.

They had to lengthen the torque tube and fabricate an adapter plate to mate the torque tube to the trans axle.

It was a 2006 episode that is now in re-runs.

How much? No Idea!

Possible? definitely!
