I am going to be doing some extensive work to a C4 corvette. These cars are notorious for heatsoaking into the cabin through the trans tunnel. I plan on laying down some B-quiet extreme, which has the aluminum heat shield, on the inside of the car. My questions is what can I do for outside the car in the tunnel area? I was hoping there was a paint or coating that wasn't outrageously priced that I could apply to the area to help reflect heat. The only other option I could think of would be to build heat shields and attacth them to the trans tunnel. I really do not won't to do that.

Thanks.

Do a search on some threads. I've been thinking of Lizardskin ... name is something like that. I don't have the info infront of my right now. They have one product that went to 300 degrees and one with ceramic or something that would go to 500 degrees. (Both sound deadning)

I think you can buy an insulation blanket for the underside of the trans tunnel
