Hey there guys,
I'm looking for a company making Nascar truck bodies for a 76 GM pickup. I am thinking of Pro-Touring the truck, but with a Nascar theme. Anyone have any ideas? Or know of any places with these bodies? Just figured it would be alot easier than building from scratch. All comments welcome on the idea of a mid 70's truck for Pro-Touring theme as well!

I thought they were hand made, just like the cars by each team according to the template.

Since they don't use 70's trucks in nascar, I doubt you're going to find one. Unless you're planning on dropping it on a stock car chassis, you probably don't need it anyway.
As far as a PT 70's truck goes, I'm all for it.

I geuss I am more or less looking to get rid of the stock square front end somehow. With a Nascar truck you can pretty much duplicate the rear with a rollcage coming out of the back of the cab and hard bed cover of some sort with welded on roll pan, smoothed tailgate, adj. spoiler, and side exhaust. With the interior I am not to concerned because I will prolly go bare bones to keep the theme. Hand fabbed dash, no carpet. Basically two bucket seats, a wheel, and some gauges. The only worry I have, would be to make the front look presentable. Any ideas? Anyone retrofitted a grille assembly from a 90's or up 1/2 ton?
The reason I was looking for a complete body is well, cause the truck needs a compete body. So rather than buy all new metal just to hack it up. I didn't know if there was any companies that make a body! I see Speedway makes one for the newer (2003) GM trucks.

get a front end off of a 91 suburban/blazer, they have the 90's style lights/grille but with the sloped front fenders/hood that gm used from about 82 and up. IMO the gmc front end looks better than the chevy.

I found this by googleing 91 gmc suburban.
that should be a pretty cool truck when done, and it wont break the bank either.
