Idler arm bearings?

Needle bearings are available for some cars to replace rubber bushings in the idler arms. To me these look like a pretty positive addition since the pitman arm side of the chassis has no compliance but the OEM idler arm does. So, how is it in real life? Important improvement, no real difference, or somewhere in between?

Where have you found these? My headers are close enough to the idler that I don't expect much life out of it. Being able to rebuild it may be a good way to go.
