A long time ago a complete brake system was acquired for my 68 Camaro using factory style front disks/calipers and the cadillac style rear disks with master cylinder and proportioning valve. I'm not sure if the car was disk or drum before.
Well the front brakes have been installed for some time and I went to install the rears and found out i had a kit for a 67 i.e. no staggered shocks. The vendor just wants to refund my money rather than exchange the caliper.
With that in mind I've been researching brake info and with the car so close to driving (brakes only thing holding me up) I'm thinking that I don't want to pull the front brakes and therefor don't want to get rear brakes that will be to powerfull.
I'm looking at the touring classics rear disk brake kit. Would they require me to run a seperate bias adjuster or will the stock style proportioning valve work? And does anyone know if they fit the 16" TT wheels (not sure if I have TT 1 or TT 2s)? I called touring classics and just got a peronal VM so not sure if they have the right number listed on the site atm..
Thanks.
