There's a 67 Camaro in one of my Super Chevy mags, that said it was painted with DuPont's chromabase "Hot Lava". My local paint shop said I needed the DuPont code number, they couldn't find that color by the name. I'm ready to paint the jams and this is the only color that my wife and I both agree on. I attach the picture and the text that was under the picture. I guess I could hunt this guys phone number and give him a call, but I thought someone here may know.

Thanks for the help,
Jim

Tim Brown of Jacksonville, Florida, made the long trek to attend the show with his beautiful '67 Camaro RS. The ZZ350 engine, Baer Brakes and Billet Specialties wheels were nice but the DuPont Chromabase "hot lava" paint really made it a stand out.

I checked but couldn't find "hot lava". Here is a link to Dupont "hot hues" paint codes. Hot rozberry is pretty close.

Old bump to see if anyone knows the paint code or any contact information for Tim Brown. I'd also like to talk to him about his suspension.

thats one of their custom mixes off their hot hues charts...not all jobbers have the hot hues charts you may have to ask them to order it

I had my chevelle featured in Super Chevy(march '06) and a place called "In The News" in florida makes nice plaques of the article. The guy i talked to was Tim Brown and said he owned the camaro on the cover of that issue and it is the same car your talking about.
You could call him at:(800)548-3993 or (813)882-8886.
hope that helps
