speakin of the interior, why does it look like the main panel on the dash is hanging off?
I like the wood a lot...but the 2.5 tone kinda messes with me. I bet it looks better in person, though.

Hey Kevin, did you manage to get the HID kit in?
The car looks great, I bet much better than anybody would have imagined. I wasn't sure about the wheel choice, but after seeing them on the car, no other would look better. :twothumbs

I have to agree, the interior is what makes this car stand out from all the other 1st gen pro-tour cars. Just look at how many we have on this site. Now don't get me wrong, I could drool over each one of them all day long, but big brakes, big tires, turbos/ blowers in shiny engine bays can get repetitive after a while.
Plus, the real wood adds class to the whole thing. Back in the day, wasn't that GM's plan to differentiate between Chevy and Pontiac?

Looks like they still have a few things to assemble.. not atypical for SEMA.. lol

I remember seeing that car in person last year when I was at Franks shop. Man have they come a long way. Great to see a 'bird get put out front and center for a change.
Kevin, again...congratulations on a terrific car.

Hey Boys, Just setleing in. to Vegas and all ready hung over This IS NOT the car heading to SEMA, The car will be slightly different then what you see here.
As for those that do not like the interior, I was sure the outside of the box interior design would make some jealous. As noticed, these are not the completed pics, in fact, some candid shots I took for Kevin and Johnny / Steve.
We will post the real deal Tuesday.
And Steve, you are like so dead...................

For the record I think the interior is pretty cool.. looks like a luxury deal (which is what GM did with the Pontiac)..
Which booth is it gonna be in again?

Steve I think Kevin's car is in the Twist Machine booth.

Is it turbo charger or super charged? Kind of hard to tell. It also looks like there is no after cooler. Inquiring minds want to know.
Andrew
ProCharger. Pontiacs are notoriousl for being weak and have problems when pushed much past 600 - 700HP. At 470 inches, we don't need a intercooler to make that much by accident. It is making 8LBS right now on pump gas. We have a smaller race gas pulley, but probably will not use it except to "post a number".

Bill, the burlwood in my opinion was a nice way to update the interior while stile paying respect to the original theme.Your 442 would look killer with it.

Actually, mine is all hand cut and finished teak. The gauge cluster is done, but the lower trim and console aren't yet finished.
I like the wood look in the Pontiac, classy looking! Just like with my car, it gives it a look that ties it to its heritage, yet looks a bit more modern. Sometimes I think the hardest part of these builds is keeping to your "theme." Trying to make sure nothing looks out of place is nearly a full time job, and from those pics it looks like you nailed it! Great job, now send us more pics!!

TA spoiler on the back is a nice touch. Looks to have 455HO on the valve cover. Glad to see a poncho in a poncho. The wood grain is a nod to the traditional interior and well executed IMHO. I'd have ordered mine with manual rather than the auto but that's just me. I only wish I had the money to build something like this. Six figures plus, I'm sure.

I've been walking SEMA and the strip and maybe hitting the tables a little in Vegas for the last week and haven't been on for a long while. I thought Internet access would be available in Vegas, but without a laptop I was S.O.L and didn't want to pay by the minute for access.
I'm back home now and will post some extra pictures when i can find the damn cables to connect my camera to the PC.
Vegas and SEMA were awesome.
ETERNITY showed well and will be returning to the east coast for dyno/tuning work and to tidy up some fit/finish SEMA rush gremlins.

EXACTLY Critter...
I tried to pay tribute to factory like options/possibilities when making changes to ETERNITY.
I needed a rear spoiler and didn't want to put a Camaro spoiler, although I also like the smaller Chevy unit.
On the outside she still looks like a Firebird and her heart is poncho pure. Underneath the skin though, everything was done to improve strength, power, handling, and comfort.
I didn't want to lose the Pontiac identity or soul in anything I did.
Love it or hate it, I did things I thought were tasteful and improved overall on the function and appearance of a 69 GM offering.
Thanks for all the compliments and criticisms everybody. Keep them coming, I'm always open-minded and don't take negative comments personally. To each his own and THANK YOU ALL.
