Wondering if anyone had experience with any of the following:
Denny's Driveshaft
Inland Empire
Mark Williams
I just pinged all three vendors for pricing on custom length C4 halfshafts for my project, and got some widely varying pricing.........so here I am wondering if quality is going to vary widely as well......
Any experiences, good/bad/otherwise?
thx,

All 3 are excellent vendors and build a quality product.
I would want to know why the difference in price and ask them each specifically why? Are they all quoting aluminum like the original shafts or something different.
There are now 2 different Midyear Corvettes that I know of with crate LS7's installed in aftermarket C2 frames with full C4 Vette suspension that have C4 Dana 44 rear ends that have split in half! In each case the stock half shafts broke first. When custom shafts were made to handle the power both cars then split the Dana 44 down the middle! That's with stock LS7 crate motors!
What's this has to do with your request is the possiblility that the custom half shafts your were quoted by each were made of different materials based upon the vendors idea of what they "thought" you needed, therefore a price difference. Again, I would first ask each vendor why they recommend what they quoted and I would be a little more specific to each vendor about your needs/requirements and get quotes based upon similiar shaft materials for a little better comparison. No sense paying for overbuilt shafts if you do not need them.
If the stock aluminum half shafts will fit your performance needs, take the stockers to a local driveshaft repair/builder in your area and let them shorten your stock shafts. It's not hard at all. Any competant local driveshaft shop can do this modification.
I had a very pleasant experience with Denny's Driveshaft, if you call you will probably talk to Denny. He was very helpful and price was reasonable. Only thing was that I had to wait a while (maybe 6 weeks), as they were very busy.

Don't forget that Inland Empire is also a sponsor here too.

I've used Denny for two drive shafts, great guy and great product! I'm running a HD aluminum. It lived behind my 500HP SBC, I'm sure it will live behind the 572 also.

There are quite a few TT ZR-1's running around out there that make a ton more power than a crate LS7 so I wouldn't be too concerned about a Dana 44's strength. I'd worry about the halfshafts before anything.
What kind of price quotes did you get from those three vendors?

Very happy with Inland Empire, bought a either 4 or 5 aluminum driveshafts from them now. If they're good enough for my friend's old Pro Stock Truck and now for his Pro-Stocker, they're good enough for me. The cool thing about Inland is every time I've ordered I've had it to my door in 3 days tops.
I would not turn my nose up to Mark Williams or Denny's either.

Mark Williams or ACPT are the 'no compromise' solution.

Bought an alum drive shaft from Inland and couldnt be happier with it (well, if it had arrived packed in $100 bills I could have been happier :twothumbs ).
I spoke with Tony I believe and he was professional, courtious, and had the part on my door step here in VA in about 7 days. Fit up was right on the money and so far I havent been able to break it after trying pretty hard:smoke:

Thanks for all the replies folks!!
Sounds like all experiences with the three vendors has been good. I did not know that Inland was a sponsor here -- THAT matters a bunch to me -- seems like the sponsors here @ PT are a cut above and seem to want to go the extra mile to make sure customers are happy. I have seen that time and again on threads here.
One thing I'd like to note -- Inland did quote me a 2 day turnaround time -- I think that rocks!! :git:
