I have GW L-2's (1 1/4" drop) that I have yet to put on my 1st Gen FB and I was wondering if anyone else is running these springs? If so, do you have a pic of the stance that they give your car?

I want to lower the rear enough to get the tires up inside the quarters a bit. Something like this:

I am guessing that the GW's won't give me this? Will the DSE 2" or 3" drops?

My rear will be a Ford 9" and will not be mini-tubbed.

Thanks,

Phil

I would say DSE 3" drop. I had Hotchkis 1.5" drop before I switched and it wasn't low enough to suite me. A picture of my car can be seen on Billet Specialties website under "news". I'm winner #8. It should give you an idea of what a 3" drop looks like.

Thanks Brian, that's exactly the stance I am looking for. Very nice car btw. What size wheels and tires? Any other mods required with the 3" drop springs?

I'll just give you a run down on the suspension mods.

Front-DSE upper & lower a-arms with Hotchkis 2" drop springs & Bilstein shocks.

Rear- Factory 12-bolt(3.73)with DSE 3" drop leafs & Bilstein shocks.

Hotchkis front & rear swaybars
Baer 4-wheel disk brakes

Wheels-17 x 8 all the way around with 5" backspacing
Tires-235/45/17 front, 255/45/17 rear

Good luck on your project.
