I realize the convention is half-over, but I thought I would ask if anyone else is in San Francisco for the Oracle conference.

Not this year. I wish I were in SF right now!

Nope. Not there. I HATE going to the city. This makes another reason not to go up there.

Ugh. No offense to anyone from here, but the downtown of this city sucks. I am a hick from a small town, so I am not exactly 'Worldly', but I gotta say that the streets of S.F. are the dirtiest I have ever seen\smelled. (the Marcone center where it is held is really nice though).

Just like everywhere else, however, you risk your life when you get in a cab. I always wondered why these guys are not in their own taxi-cab racing circuit.

Although, things looked 'up' when the local 'strippers' started passing out their personal advertisements outside of the convention center. At least here they do it themselves. In Vegas, they have hired-help.

LOL Elton John was the hired entertainment for the conference. Want me to get his number for you? LOL

Apparently you haven't been to China town in NYC.

I was in SF 2 weeks ago, It didn't seem that dirty to me...

It might just be the area I am in. The concierge in a hotel down the street told a co-worker to stay out of the area where my hotel is: The Handerly. Its actually a really nice hotel, but the area is suspect. But then again, I live a half-hour from the Amish, so electricity and indoor plumbing is a new thing for me.

These are the type of comments typically made by those least secure in their own "preferences". :bsjerk:
