I just joined. I am 65 going on 66 tomorrow. I drag race in NHRA S/St 10.90 class and Pro E.T. with a '65 Ford Falcon. I just put in a 347 w/World Product Windsor Sr heads, Eagle rotating assy. The car weighs 3030# with me in it give or take gas in fuel cell. The best with a 7" converter leaving a 6600 is 10.59 at 126 mph. I am going to get an 8" convertr to tighten things up a bit and expect times in the 10.40 128 mph range when I do. I am running 6.70's on the 1/8 mile at 100 mph with 29.5x10.5w MT and a 5.29 gear.
My son has a '64 Falcon with a 351C weighing 3250# and is a .10 slower than me. I just bought a set of Edelbrock Victor heads and they flow as good as the clevelands do! 350cfm .600 lift at 28". Now have to build another 347 with these heads for him and will loose at least 150 lbs so he should be faster than me? and make more hp. I live near Topeka,Ks
