On Sept 12th the car was a bare shell on a rolling chassis. 800 hours later, it looks like we are going to take the Vette around the block tomorrow. I was fully expecting that we were going to be working on it right up to the time it went into the trailer for SEMA. I mean aren't all car projects supposed to finish right down to the wire? It sounds killer, no leaks, everything seems to be working great. I guess we just get to make 'er look purdy for when we pull the cover off in Vegas.

Sure.....Would you like to put those on a CC or should I just ship them COD:lmao:
No, we aren't going into the car building business....it just seems that way at times. However next project is on deck - the 53 Stude (building that one to do some testing out on our 3-link and new spindle)

That is hot. Are those Ferrari horns I see? Mandatory for shoo'ing goats out of the way on those twisty mountain roads.

Hey thanks guys. I'm glad that you diggit.
Mr.Rupp - How about I send the bill to Zinke?
Steveo- The horns are from Hella. 118dB of ear-splitting German goodness. When you say for sho'oing goats off the road, are you talkin about goat, goats or Bill Howell type GTO goats? Or both?
boodlefoof- More pics after SEMA.......but here's one more of the underside.

Ok, so we scaled the car this morning.......
Total weight with Art sitting in it 3080lbs w/o Art 2890lbs
Corner weights with Art sitting in the car
LF 785# RF 732#
LR 788# RR 775#
Front weight 49.2% Rear 50.7%
Diagional RF to LR 49.3%
Side to side 51% driver 49% passenger
We made c/o adjustments 8 times, and the 49.3% cross weight kept comming up. I think this will be just fine for SEMA.......

Hey thanks. We actually just have been calculating hours, and since Sept 12th there has been just over 900 hours put into the car, and in total there is probably around 3500 put into the car (our time, paint & body, upholstery). It's now time to go to Vegas and have a few cocktails:twothumbs
