sorry if this has been answered, I couldn't find it in FAQs:
when I tried to 'manage attachments' to add pictures to a post, it said I had used up my alloted space. that's cool, but do I ever get more space? the only way I was able to add updated project pictures was to delete previous ones, now the thread doesn't make sense.
I also tried to put some pictures in 'my PT garage', but the screen just goes blank; nothing happens.
thanks!
Keith

If you want to upload more pics you can become a site supporter for a small price. This gives you more space. Under the User CP (top left) you can go under Miscellaneous, Paid subscriptions.

Or you can upload your pics to Imageshack or some other online pic hosting service and link that into the thread.

You can get more space with a paid subscription as Nick said.

Or you can just delete some of your old attachments. Go to your user CP and all the way at the bottom under "Miscellaneous" click on the "Attachments" tag. You can then pick and choose which attachments you'd like to delete. Otherwise you do have a finite amount of storage space.

Make them smaller like 800 X XXX or even smaller then you can get a LOT more pics

OK, I read this to find out how to gain more file room for posting pictures. I cant delete pictures from my postings. I attempted to find the User CP as stated in previous postings. I can not find that. Where is User CP located?

Top right corner under settings. I will see if I can post a direct link.

Also, make sure you are not posting massive pictures. By keeping them at 1024x768 or smaller you can post hundreds of pictures.

Larry,

Is it possible to resize the existing photo's in my build thread in order to gain some space? I would also be interested in information regarding paid site support.

Thanks.

I will send you something.

Me too please. I've used this site a lot for my build and I'm more than happy to give back and I really appreciate all the great info on here.

I just posted more pictures on my build. I reduced the file sizes to 800x450, but it ate up a ton of space and the pictures still look big. Now I am out of room on my media space.

I just looked and some of them are way huge at 1,280px × 960px

I will look for a hack tomorrow that will re-size all attachments and will re-size all future.
