Come on don't you love seeing kids with CBGB's shirts, when there parents weren't even old enough to go there!!

I love it when you ask some kid what CBGB is and he tells you it's a band.

damn....I never made it up there...now it looks like I never will. My drummer told me stories about it, I think he even opened there once with his old band. That really sucks.

I drank, saw bands, got %$#@ and met women there. I saw a guy get tossed out the window at gildersleeves next door. It was a dump but it was the pitri dish that a lot of bands grew out of. R.I.P.

Actually, CBGB is being carefully taken apart and meticulously rebuilt excatly the same with as much as the original stuff as they can (including the urinals I'm told) out here in Vegas.
I got to go there a few years back, sadly no bands were playing that night. But I drank a yeungling, and pondered purchase of a horribly overpriced t-shirt.

One of the secrets about the place was that when there was nothing on the marquis there frequently was something rather special happening.
I saw the Ramone's there twice under such circumstances, and saw Jane's Addiction/Ice-T/The Chili Peppers after Lollapalooza at Jones Beach.
